2020 Novice Girls Year End Showcase
1. OWHA rules will apply.
2. Each Novice Team is guaranteed 4 games.
3. No overtime or shootouts will be played
4. 2 points for a win; one point for a tie; 0 for a loss.
5. Teams are to be ready to go on the ice 15 minutes prior to the start of their scheduled game.
6. Earliest possible start times will be Friday at 8:00 a.m., Saturday, 8:00 a.m.
7. There will be a three (3) minute warm up time at the start of each game.
8. In the event of a tie at the end of the round robin, the following format will be used to determine the winning team between tied teams.
- Number of wins.
- Record against other tied teams.
- Goals scored minus the goals against in the round robin.
- Fewest goals allowed in the round robin games.
- Most goals scored in the round robin games.
- Most periods won in games against other tied teams.
- Most periods won in round robin play.
- Fewest penalty minutes in round robin play.
- First goal in game between tied teams; and
- Flip of a coin.
9. A player’s names on scoresheet must appear on the team roster list submitted with the application form for the (1) team they are on, unless exception given by Tournament convener.
10. Only Teams that are invited to play in the 4-game year end exhibition showcase are eligible.
11. Referee’s decision is final and is not subject to appeal, grievance or protest.
12. Suspensions – OWHA rules will apply.
15. Tournament Executive decision is final and binding.
16. Teams do not play shorthanded on coincidental penalties.
17. All divisions are non-checking.
18. No time outs allowed
19. MVP Awards given out following each game, decided by opposing Team’s Coach. Girls to line up on the blue line after the game (no handshake) for quick presentation by refs.
