2019 / 2020 Lady Flags Season Information!

The 2019 / 2020 season is going to be our best season yet. We will be rostering two Novice teams, two Atom teams and one Peewee team. We will also be offering girl's hockey programs at the Instructional & Initiation level.

As mandated by Hockey Canada, hockey games at the Novice level and below will be played on half ice beginning in the 2019 / 2020 season. We have met with local associations and are in the process of finalizing the logistics and details of these games. The players will transition to full ice after January 15, 2020 for the remainder of the season.

Instructional Hockey Program

Our Instructional Hockey Program is an ideal starting point for girls born in 2015 and 2016 as well as those born in 2014 who are just learning to skate.

Our Instructional Hockey Program will receive 1 hour on the ice each week and their coaches will be be focusing on skating and teaching the girls basic hockey skills.

If you have any questions regarding our Insructional Hockey Program please contact Mooretown Lady Flags Director of Novice & Introduction to Hockey, Bryan Jeffrey at [email protected]

Initiation Hockey Program

Our Initiation Hockey Program is geared at girls born in 2013 & 2014. The girls will receive 2 hours of ice each week and the program will follow the Hockey Canada guidelines and manual for the Initiation Hockey Program

As mandated by Hockey Canada, hockey games at the Initiation level will be played on cross ice for the entire 2019 / 2020 season.

The Initiation Hockey Program is broken down into two phases, the "Development Phase" and the "Regular Season Phase". Please see the detailed season breakdown provided by Hockey Canada in the diagram below.
