2020 / 2021 Mooretown Lady Flags Season Info

Online registration for the 2020 / 2021 season is now CLOSED

Please NOTE: There will be a late fee of $200.00 in affect for any returning player who was not registered by August 15th, 2020. This will apply to all returning players in the Novice division and up. Any player not registered by the August 15th deadline may be wait listed.
If you have any questions in regards to registration for the upcoming season please contact Lady Flags Registrar, Katie Gaulton at [email protected]

We are taking direction from OWHA and Hockey Canada with regards to our next steps, including registration for the 2020 / 2021 season.

ALL Minor Hockey Associations in Ontario have been directed by the Ontario Hockey Federation (OHF) to not collect any registration fees at this time but are encouraged to open registration to properly plan for the season.

We are encouraging all players who intend to play in this upcoming season to register online at this time, although we will NOT be taking payment at the initial registration.

This is VERY important and will allow us to properly plan for the 2020 / 2021 season.

Within the Return to Hockey Plan, the OWHA has provided a detailed Phased approach to reintroduce hockey activities throughout Ontario. The safety of all our Members, players, participants and supporters will continue to be the priority. This staged approach does not have a specific timeframe, but will evolve at the guidance of public health, the provincial government and our governing body, Hockey Canada.  At any point during the progression we may need to pause or return to a previous stage in order to protect and support our participants and the public.

Hockey Canada announced late last year they would be implementing new names for its age divisions which will take effect for the 2020 / 2021 season. The changes align with the names used on an International level and will simplify the process of registration.

We expect OWHA will begin to sanction girls hockey starting after Labour day if things continue to improve.  At this time, it looks like we will be able to offer practice sessions during the month of September while maintaining the mandated physical distance.  If restrictions are lifted, we will immediately maximize this into our program and move towards a regular season at the fastest pace we can. We are not collecting money at this time, as we do not know what the full season will look like.  To start we will be collecting month by month based on what can offer, priced appropriately to cover costs.

We hope to get back to a normal seasonal structure as soon as possible, we are missing all of the girls and watching them out on the ice!  Registering now will help us put a plan into place so we can hit the ice as soon as permission is granted by OWHA.
