Congratulations to Mooretown Lady Flags U18B Buffalo River Outdoor Classic Champions. These girls went undefeated throughout the tournament facing Pittsburgh Predators (4-1), K-Stars (2-2), Cazenovia Chiefs (5-3).
Tournament MVP's Lauren Harvey, who made the hats rain down on the ice, Harlow "Double-bubble" Germain, and Abby Vanderslagt for streaking down the wing! The exciting finals against Tri-City Eagles left the fans at the edge of their seats. The game ended in a 0-0 tie after a 5-minute sudden death overtime leading to an exhilarating 9-player shoot-out.
Lady Flag Caroline St-Pierre scored the winning goal to end the game 1-0 for Mooretown. Shout to all players for their passion and relentlessness on the ice and to Ruby Frew who also scored the first shoot-out goal and to our MVP goalie Bela DaSilva who stood on her head to bring us home the gold! Very proud of all of you ladies! Let's continue to momentum and win our semi-finals against South Huron.
