Good morning;
The Lady Flags Girls Hockey Association are carefully monitoring the COVID situation in our area and are planning for a pause in programming over the holidays for a period of at least one week starting
Monday Dec 21st.
The Lady Flags Board recognizes your tremendous support to date, and are supportive with other arena user groups who are pausing programming for the holidays, as the local Medical Officer of health has noted a significant increase in local COVID-19 cases through community transmission, including recreational activities:

We are working with Arena staff to re-evaluate ice requirements based on public health guidance, in the event we move to the Orange or Red tier of the provincial framework after the holidays. Where possible our program will be modified to meet any imposed future restrictions. If the Province imposes a regional lockdown, all programming will cease.
We respect that parents need to balance risk/benefit and that every family will balance these differently. We respect these decisions. Mooretown Lady Flags Girls Hockey is committed to continue to offer opportunities for our members to continue to participate in sport for as long as the Province and Public Health Unit allow, and we hope your enjoy this holiday season.
We want to reiterate that this is a PRECAUTIONARY, PREVENTATIVE measure only, and is not due to cases within the Lady Flags, or anything that has occurred at the rink.
The Lady Flags Girls Hockey Board thank coaching staff, arena staff, players and parents for your patience & support throughout the year, and into 2021.
Stay healthy & safe.
