Lady Flags Season Update - September 4, 2020
Submitted By Director of Communications on Friday, September 4, 2020
Good Morning Lady Flags Members,

We couldn't be happier to announce that we are ready to move forward with our 2020 / 2021 season! Over the next few days there will be a lot of information coming your way, please continue to check the website for updates.

Our U9, U11 & U13 girls will return to the ice on the weekend of Saturday, September 12th. Please plan to skate on the 12th, 13th & 14th. We will be releasing the schedule on the website over the weekend.

We will be starting our U7 & FUNdamental groups in October. We continue to work closely with the township to ensure safety for our youngest participants (we will not be taking any payment from U7 & FUNdamental groups until we have a start date finalized).

What will the season look like?

Girls in the U9U11 & U13 age divisions have been split into two "squads" within their divisions to begin the season. The "squads" were determined by our hockey committee with direction from the OWHA. Each "squad" has been assigned a lead instructor to run practices.

The season will start with a focus on skills & drills within their squads. When and if given the go ahead we will transition into "Modified Play" with games with other associations. If the season progresses without any issues it is our intent to hold tryouts in December  / January for a potential season. If we get to the point of running tryouts we will appoint head coaches at that time and our current practice squads will be dissolved. All girls will be eligible to attend tryouts.

Lady Flags Pre Season Information Session - Thursday, September 10th at 8:00PM

We will be hosting an online meeting for our members using Microsoft Teams on Thursday, September 10th at 8:00PM to discuss the upcoming season. Information will be sent out next week for this meeting. We encourage all members to attend.
